How can I get free samples?

+ HOW DO I SIGN UP?

You just need to create an account to start requesting samples. You can create an account by finding the Send Me a Sample skill in the Alexa directory and following the steps to account link.

+ WHAT SAMPLES CAN I HAVE?

Anywhere you see the “Send Me a Sample” logo on an advert, you’ll know that it’s available to request by asking your voice assistant. We’re adding new brands all the time so make sure to keep an eye out.

Make sure you subscribe to Send Me a Sample updates in your account settings too and we’ll let you know when we get new samples in to try.

+ WHY WON’T SEND ME A SAMPLE LET ME ORDER CERTAIN SAMPLES?

When you registered for your account, you will have been asked to confirm a few details.

Depending on your answers, you may not be eligible for all our campaigns. Some offers are only available in certain places. Also, if you did not tick the over 18 box during registration, you won’t be able to request alcohol samples. If you left the tick-box blank, we understand that you can’t legally order alcoholic products. If this was a mistake, you can always change your settings in your account page.

 

About Send Me a Sample

+ HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Nothing. It is completely free! No catches. There’s no cost to you because brands want you to try their products.

+ WHICH VOICE ASSISTANTS CAN I GET SEND ME A SAMPLE ON?

Currently you can order samples via Amazon Alexa.

Don’t have a smart home device? Download the Alexa app for your smartphone, and simply type or say “Open Send Me a Sample”.

+ I DON'T HAVE A VOICE ASSISTANT! HOW CAN I TRY FREE SAMPLES?

Send Me a Sample is only available via voice assistant. We cannot take orders via email, post, phone or carrier pigeon (although that would be really cool).

If you don’t have a smart speaker, don’t worry! If you have a smartphone, you can always download Amazon Alexa app via the AppStore or GooglePlay. Simply follow the steps and say “Open Send Me a Sample”

+ I'M HARD OF HEARING / CANNOT SPEAK TO A DEVICE. WHAT DO I DO?

If you have a smartphone, you can download Amazon Alexa app via the AppStore or GooglePlay. Simply follow the steps and instead of speaking to your device, click the keyboard icon in the bottom, lefthand corner. You can then type “Open Send Me a Sample” and Alexa will guide you through the process to get your free sample!

+ WHERE CAN I ORDER SAMPLES FROM?

We currently send samples within the UK, the US and Germany. Keep an eye out for the “Send Me a Sample logo” on adverts to know which samples are available to you!

 

Account Questions

+ I’VE REGISTERED, BUT I STILL CAN’T REQUEST ANY SAMPLES. ANY IDEAS?

You may still need to confirm your email address. Check your inbox for the email we sent you when you registered. If you can’t find it, try checking your spam. Otherwise, you can request another email by logging into your account and clicking the pop-up.

Email still not coming through? Try logging in and deleting your current email address and re-typing the same address. Save it and click ‘Resend’, and you should receive your confirmation email!

+ I'VE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD. WHAT DO I DO?

Click here to reset your password. Remember you will need to be able to access the email address inbox that you set up your Send Me a Sample account with.

+ HOW DO YOU I CHANGE MY SEND ME A SAMPLE ACCOUNT DETAILS ?

Just log into your account page here and edit your preferences. Your voice-assistant will automatically know that you’ve changed your details, so you don’t need to do anything else – yay!

Follow the steps below to account link. Don’t worry, this only needs to be done once!

  1. Enable: find and enable the Send Me a Sample skill on your Amazon Alexa app
  2. Register: create and link your Send Me a Sample account online or via the Amazon Alexa app
  3. Go: then, just say to your voice-assistant: ‘Open Send Me a Sample’ Don’t have a smart-speaker? You can always download the Amazon Alexa app for your phone on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Still not working on Alexa? Try disabling Send Me a Sample & then re-enabling the skill again. Try to account link again, being sure to log into your existing Send Me a Sample account (rather than creating a new one).

+ I’VE GOT A NEW SMART-SPEAKER, DO I NEED TO CREATE A NEW SEND ME A SAMPLE ACCOUNT?

Nope! You still have your Send Me a Sample account so you just need to re-enable the voice-app and login with your account details again.

 

Delivery Questions

+ WHERE'S MY SAMPLE?

If you requested your free samples less than 3 weeks ago, hold tight! Your sample will be with you soon.

Still not arrived? Please follow the steps below:

  1. Check you have received an email from us confirming your order – if you haven’t and the sample is still available, please try to request this again as it hasn’t come through to us!

  2. Check that your address is correct on the system by logging in here: https://account.sendmeasample.net/login – if it isn’t correct, please update it and let us know. If you registered with an incorrect address, I’m afraid we cannot guarantee your sample made it’s way to you!

  3. Look out for a missed postal delivery card – the parcel might be waiting for you at your local depot

If you’ve completed the above and you’ve still not tracked your free sample down, we’re really sorry but due to the limited number of samples available, we cannot resend this to you. We wish we could!

+ HOW DO I SEE MY ORDER HISTORY?

Just log into your account page here and select Order History to access the full list. Note ,if you tried to place an order via Send Me a Sample and you don’t see this here, we have not received your request and so cannot send your sample.
